Beef Cuts 3D · Help & Support

Know your cuts.
Get more from the app.

Explore beef and pork in 3D, find out where a cut comes from, and discover your next favourite steak.

Start sideways. Beef Cuts 3D is designed for landscape mode. Hold your iPhone horizontally to see the model and the cut list together.

Your first minute in Beef Cuts 3D

  1. Choose Beef or Pork. Start with the animal you want to explore.
  2. Explore the muscle layer. Both animals open in the muscle view. Switch to Primal cuts to explore the main butchery sections.
  3. Tap a piece. Select it directly on the animal or in the list. The selection is highlighted, and a model selection brings its matching list entry into view.
  4. Go deeper. Select a primal cut to reveal the smaller cuts within that region. Overlapping outer sections may become transparent.
  5. Open Details. Inspect the selected piece in a separate close-up. Read the available cut information, preparation guidance and recipes.

Muscle details focus on anatomy and descriptions. They do not show shop buttons or the cooking and recipe tabs used for meat cuts.

Move around the model

  • Rotate: drag with one finger.
  • Zoom: pinch with two fingers, or use the + and − buttons in the overview.
  • Reset: tap Reset to return to the default overview.
  • Make room: tap Expand 3D to hide the list. Tap Show list to bring it back.
  • Find a name: type a cut, muscle name or synonym into Search. Tap × to clear the search.
  • Inspect a detail: drag the piece in the detail view to rotate it. Use Back to return.

Selections stay in their anatomical position in the overview, helping you understand exactly where the piece sits.

Find a cut for your next cook

  1. Open Steak Finder from the home screen.
  2. Choose beef or pork, then answer the questions about cooking method, available time and budget.
  3. Browse the suggested cuts and their available information.
  4. Follow a supplier or search link if you want to explore buying options.

Supplier suggestions currently focus on Germany. Availability, shipping, prices and product descriptions are determined by the retailer. Purchases take place on the retailer’s website, not inside Beef Cuts 3D.

Use Start over to try a different combination. Online supplier pages and external searches require an internet connection.

Deutsch or English?

The app starts in German when your device language is German. Other device languages start in English. Use the DE / EN switch to change language at any time. On a fresh app launch, the app follows the device language again.

Common questions

The app is not rotating into landscape.

Hold your iPhone sideways. If needed, turn off Portrait Orientation Lock in Control Centre, close the app and open it again. Beef Cuts 3D does not offer a portrait layout.

I cannot find a piece in the list.

Clear the search with × and check that you are in the right animal and layer. Some individual cuts appear after you open the relevant primal cut. Very small muscles may be combined into a named muscle group.

Why does part of the animal become transparent?

Transparency helps reveal smaller cuts or deeper muscles that would otherwise be hidden by outer surfaces. It is part of the anatomy view.

Why is there no recipe or shop button for a muscle?

The muscle layer is an anatomy guide. Cooking content and supplier links belong to the meat-cut views, where available.

Can I use the app offline?

The installed 3D models and locally included content can be explored offline. Content updates, online Steak Finder pages, supplier links and external searches need an internet connection.

A supplier page will not load.

Check your internet connection and try again. An external product may have moved or sold out. Try another supplier or an external search. For a purchase or delivery question, contact the retailer directly.

The app is slow or has stopped responding.

Close and reopen the app, make sure your iPhone has free storage, and install available app updates. If the problem continues, send us your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and the steps that caused it.

Can I use the website’s 3D demo on my phone?

For the full mobile experience, use the iOS app. The browser demo is best used on a laptop or desktop; loading and performance on mobile browsers can vary.
